Artistry By The Lake
Artistry by the Lake - June 30 and July 1, 2011 – Always held July 1 Canada Day holiday and now also the day before and after if July 1 is near or on a weekend – Queen’s Royal Park, Niagara-on-the-Lake – just look for the gazebo on the water’s edge. A lovely show of quality work featuring 75 juried artists and crafters. The park is flat but has sloped edges. If you’re using a wheelchair or scooter you can find a flatter place to enter near the food tents and you’re all set. The park is right on the lake and many of the crafters are set up under large trees, so even if it is hot, it can be cooler than in town. There is food available to eat sitting on the edge of the park overlooking the water and the entire event makes for a lovely afternoon. Accessible washrooms in the parking lot.

What You Can Expect:
The shows will take place in two 40 to 50 minute sets. David's usual set up includes 10-12 Quartz Crystal Bowls, 8-10 Paiste Planet Gongs, Vibraphone and Santoo. Nothing is amplified, pre-recorded or rehearsed. Each set and performance is sonically pure and unique. David records the shows on his high quality portable recorder and can mak...e that recording available to you. You can purchase CDs and other merchandise at the shows with cash or cheque.
We invite you to take a seat or lay down as close to the instruments as possible to get the greatest effect. Remember to bring a yoga matt, blanket and/or pillow as most venues will have floor space to lay down. Chairs for regular seating are also available. Where possible we encourage you to share rides and car pool. It not only saves gas but helps to reduce our carbon foot print on the earth and traffic.

What You Can Expect:
The shows will take place in two 40 to 50 minute sets. David's usual set up includes 10-12 Quartz Crystal Bowls, 8-10 Paiste Planet Gongs, Vibraphone and Santoo. Nothing is amplified, pre-recorded or rehearsed. Each set and performance is sonically pure and unique. David records the shows on his high quality portable recorder and can mak...e that recording available to you. You can purchase CDs and other merchandise at the shows with cash or cheque.
We invite you to take a seat or lay down as close to the instruments as possible to get the greatest effect. Remember to bring a yoga matt, blanket and/or pillow as most venues will have floor space to lay down. Chairs for regular seating are also available. Where possible we encourage you to share rides and car pool. It not only saves gas but helps to reduce our carbon foot print on the earth and traffic.

Principles from the Palace of Possibilities. Identification of client's belief structures and the origins of their development. Utilisation of affirmations and identification of 'tail-enders' that limit their effectiveness.
Extra Tapping Points. The addition of extra tapping points developed from the work of Michael Gandy.
Methods to inject more gentleness into EFT. Some client issues carry a lot of emotion. EFT can be utilised in several ways that allows the therapist to minimise or eliminate any discomfort. These methods include: Tearless Trauma Technique. Chasing the Pain & Sneaking up on the problem.
Dealing with Physical Issues. Utilising the chasing the pain approach and becoming more specific. As well as dealing with any emotional issues that may be a part of the problem.
Using EFT via the telephone. Delivering EFT on the telephone or Skype is common place in North America. This component prepares the EFT Practitioner to use this method of delivering EFT.
Delivering EFT in groups. One of the most interesting things about EFT is the fact that it can be used with groups as opposed to just working one on one with a client. This component of the course provides the EFT practitioner with experience working in group situations.

THOUGHTS ON SHAMANISM
We are guardians of the earth. It is for us to teach
the children of this world to speak to their souls so
that they may connect better with themselves and
sacred Mother Earth.
Greetings from The Ancient One. In the past i have
related my shamanic journey. As my journey is
ongoing and neverending i would like to share
more with you on this very important subject. For
me to be a shaman is to have a personal and
profound connection with the enviroment and all
living things. To respect and to realize that there is
divine in all life.
To begin we must have forgiveness. My friend ,
colleague and mentor - Buffalo Bear Walks With
Wolves ( http://www.wakanway.com ) states that
the key to healing our planet is forgiveness. Not
only the forgiving of those whose transgressions
have caused us pain but truly forgiving ourselves.
True forgiveness brings one closer to the higher
self. The universal life force thrives on positive
energy. To forgive is to heal.
The role of a shaman is to change the world around
you by teaching people how to listen. If we stop to
listen then every plant , animal and living thing on
great mother earth will teach us something. A
shaman is one who speaks the truth. We can
stimulate thoughts and cultivate imagination.
Shamans are spiritual gardeners planting seeds of
wisdom from which trees of knowledge will grow.
Shaman is not only part of Native American culture ,
it is a part of all cultures. Medicinemen , storytellers
and elders are all shamans in their way. Its that
ability to pass on wisdom while continuing to learn
and grow that makes a great shaman. We must
purify our bodies so that the healer within may be
released to help create a new state of existence. It
is my goal to help people access hidden realities ,
expand their minds and bring them closer to
spiritual enlightenment. If you seek , meditate ,
change and grow then you are on the path of a true
shaman.
The more people that connect with their inner
shaman the better a world this will be. Rediscover
your souls and we can have a world where all races
can live in peace and harmony. Mankinds
evolutionary journey has brought us to the brink of
destruction. The time is now to take back our
planet. Become an awakened being and celebrate
the spirit. Accept your past , embrace your future
and seek that which is beyond the physical. If we let
go of the current reality and let a natural stream of
thoughts and feelings guide us on our spiritual
journey , then we begin a shamanic process that
can and will heal our broken planet.

People can self create in their own minds what they
wish to experience. People have the ability to
contact the higher self. We have far more powers
than we realize. We were not put on this earth to
suffer. It is not for us to judge or comment in a
negative way. We are responsible for our own
happiness and sadness. It is important that we
connect with the divine in all things , radiate love
from the depths of our hearts. What one gives out
does indeed come back to them , if in this life then
in another incarnation. So people must forgive and
love unconditionally. We must be aware of our
thoughts and words as they carry much weight.
Spiritual satisfaction is within our reach if we want
it.
Buffalo Bear Walks With Wolves has given me
theknowledge and incentive to raise peoples
awareness. To let people know they have freedom
of choice. They have the ability to become higher
beings if they listen to the teachings of sacred
mother earth. If you close your eyes and listen you
can hear the sky crying. Our land is raped every day
, our water is tainted and the skies are filled with
smog - this is unacceptable. It is the role of the
shaman in the 21st century to teach people respect
for every living thing. If we stop our negative ways ,
if we plant seeds of change and nurture them we
can and will have a bountiful harvest that we can all
be proud of.
My journey to becoming the Earth Shaman that
Buffalo Bear Walks With Wolves envisions is bathed
by grace. Spirituality like a river flowing eternally
washes over me creating an embarassment of
riches that i accept with honor and respect. My
thoughts forge a reality that leaves me with a
profound sense of hope. My shamanic journey is
one of transformation. A wind that nurtures has
blown over me making it possible for my soul to fly.
I now listen to the voice of the land and respect the
web of creation.
I thank you for reading my words and wish you well
on your own spiritual journey. May the beauty of
the green earth embrace your spirit while the seas
of serenity sing you a sweet lullaby that enlightens

• Take Hartzel Road to Keswick St. (look for Bloomin’ Busy Flower Shop
and GoodTurn on the corners)
• Keswick St. only runs East – so go EAST on Keswick Street
• Left (North) on Ferndale – bear right as you go around the circle and
look for visitor parking(any space that doesn’t have a tenant number
marked on it) near the back right of the parking lot
• Come to the back of The Agnes MacPail Woman’s Co-op building and
enter directly through the community room door adjacent to the back
entrance of the building.

About the Facilitator: Jason Cook facilitates healing and transformation to individuals, couples and groups all around the world through the practice of ancient indigenous medicine techniques and contemporary life coaching. Jason is a trained Medicine Man and Shaman along with being a Certified Energy Medicine Practitioner through Dr. Alberto Villoldo Ph.D. and The Four Winds Society. He is also a trained Certified Intuitive Practitioner through internationally acclaimed Spiritual Teacher, Intuitive Counsellor and Spiritual Healer Sonia Choquette, Ph.D.

SUMMER SOLSTICE DRUMMING DOWN THE SUN

12 Annual SUMMER SOLSTICE DRUMMING DOWN THE SUN Rain or Shine 8pm – Sunset Port Dalhousie beach by carousel or if raining – under the shelter of the pavilion EVERYONE INVITED and WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE Loonie Donation - to help defray expenses of event organization. Come to watch - or bring a drum - or anything to shake & rattle! The Summer Solstice the longest day of the year, has long been held in high esteem by many societies around the world. Join us to celebrate this day, on the sandy Lakeside Park beach. Sidewalk entrance from main parking lot between 2 signs that say “Fire Route”. Follow this sidewalk on the east side of the carousel, and then turn right on the sidewalk – and join the drumming circle on the beach. The sidewalk provides good hard-surface accessibility for scooters and wheelchairs. There are no benches or seats, so bring a lawn chair or blanket if you’d like to sit, but be prepared to dance! This community event has been held at Port Dalhousie’s Lakeside Park the past 11 years and has grown to become a gathering of about 200 people. For the first time, last year, we expanded our Drumming Down the Sun to a neighbouring beach in Jordan on the N. Service Road, at Charles Daley Park, to give families the choice of beaches to attend. We are looking for all mediums of art reflecting unique perspectives on H2O. All mediums welcome (including video and music). Up to 3 pieces per artist. Deadline: July 3, 2011. Artists may submit up to 3 pieces. Entry fee of $20 per artist which is redeemable against the 20% gallery fee for artwork sold at the show.
