Do you like watching TV shows like Ghost Hunters, Paranormal State and Ghost Adventurers and wondered what it would be really like to investigate a real life haunted location? Well now is your chance!
Team members from the Niagara Area Paranormal Society are once again offering a basic hands-on course on Ghost Hunting followed by an investigation at a haunted location.
In this course you will have the opportunity to learn how to research and investigate a haunted location using proper protocols and investigation techniques. You will also learn basic information about the equipment we use, and how to properly use them. You will learn about EVPs, how to find out the history of a haunted location, ghost photography, interview techniques, where to find ghosts and much more.
After you learn the basics of investigating you will be given the opportunity to investigate a haunted location and be able to apply what you learned with the guidance of investigators in the field at your side.
The cost of the course, including the chance to investigate 2 haunted locations is $65.
Class size will be limited so don’t miss out on this opportunity. This event is first come first serve.
History of this location:
The Heritage House was built in 1815. Also known as the “Fry House”, it is a unique example of Pennsylvania German Mennonite architecture. It has been restored to represent domestic life as it was in the house in 1835. It offers a glimpse of the life of the pioneer-craftsman, with most of the original furnishings and family belongings intact. The Fry House also showcases an important collection of textiles and weaving traditions.
The stone school house was built in 1859, and has been lovingly restored to depict the school as it was in 1908. Go back to the world of slates, pen and ink, and separate entrances for boys and girls!
About our investigation:
Our group has had an opportunity to investigate this location several times and there has never been a dull moment. Some of the things we have experienced firsthand include seeing shadows darting in rooms, hearing voices, and witnessing globes of light moving in rooms to name just a few. We have been able to capture 100’s of EVPs that show interactive spirits are present in both of these buildings which are located on the same property. Also, on the property is an old 1800’s cemetery. This is one very haunted location and you won’t want to miss out on experiencing this unique opportunity to investigate there!
