I was out walking with my ten year old son along the canal yesterday and when we do this he always stops in his favourite spot to throw rocks into the water. when he did this yesterday I waited til he wasn't looking and tossed a crab apple at him. startled he jumped and toppled over into the canal. he made his way out completely drenched and excited to get home and tell his mother of how awesome his adventure was and that it was all my fault. if this strange time we live in has taught me anything its that youth has a purity, innocence and beauty that transcends and transforms. afterwords he kept saying you should have brought your phone. we could have recorded this... men are boys are men are boys...
