a hand out is not a hand up. sometimes even though our intention is to help someone we are in fact enabling, fostering, encouraging and inspiring them to accept their lot in life and not move forward in any way shape or form. we must let those in need know that they are greater than the sum of the parts of their struggles. we must help them rise above the ignorance that comes with hopelessness. we must show them how they can improve the quality of their lives. to help them be better we must ourselves be better. there will always be naysayers but I say yes.

we are divine beings and when we live our divinity with integrity, dignity, truth and beauty we evolve the self in deeply transformative ways that shine a light on the extraordinary in our lives.
