for most of my life I have wished at the end of every year for the pain from my past to go away until one year when I realized for it to leave I had to let it go. my wish for all is that you set yourself free, that you remove self imposed restrictions, that you get out of your own way and that you truly love, honor and respect who you are.

I have a collection of scars, bruises, shattered dreams, broken promises, triggers and trauma that I have carried on my shoulders most of my life as a reminder of how cruel this world can be. however one day I stumbled and one of my struggles fell to the ground and the weight I was carrying was a little less and I felt a bit better. since then I have tried to carry less. I have made an effort to let things go. I have taken responsibility for my past reluctance to set myself free. I now have the life I desired. I now have the life I deserve. I now have a life. I am alive. I am.

my life has been a healing adventure in which every time I opened my heart the light of love has entered and dressed my wounds.

spiritual openness is the catalyst for an awakened life of absolute transformational truth.

today I will walk the good road to a place of goodness where I will serve the greatest good as I embrace the good in everyone.

my life today is a pure positive picture of elevation, inspiration and rejuvenation that I created by colouring outside the lines.

this time of year is difficult for those of us whose childhood memories are not blessings but triggers that torment us. even though I have made my way from the darkness into the light and have a beautiful loving family of my own I still struggle with images from my past. the difference is now I know that my wife and son love me and that everything will be okay. if you are struggling know that you are not alone, know that you deserve better, know that you are worthy, know that you are enough, know that you are special and know that you are loved.

I was on a journey of ideas through portals of inspiration when I discovered footprints in the clouds that led me to my true sacred self.

let us rest and rejuvenate in the womb of nature where waterfalls of peaceful serenity cleanse our mind, body and soul as we embrace each moment with truth, beauty and love.

with the help of spirit I help myself which helps others to help themselves change their lives with the help of spirit.

I have made my way from the depths of devastating darkness into the soul of divine light by opening my heart and sharing my love.

this time of year for me is difficult because instead having having warm loving memories of joyous yuletide blessings, I have cold dark memories of drunken christmas debauchery. fortunately my wife and son have gifted me with memories that do not erase my past but embrace my present and shine a light of love on my future. I still struggle but now I do so with people who know how to live and love.

today I will make the effort to move forward in a positive way by answering every question with loving kindness.

may you be blessed by spirit as you walk a soul guided path to a garden of bliss where you are nurtured and nourished by the pure positive beauty of who you truly are.

I have reduced my time on the computer and made the conscious choice to walk more, read more, relax more and respect myself more.

my true soul called the other day. I answered and that has made all the difference in the world.

I used to think suffering was my calling. I believed that sorrow was my destiny. It wasn't that I lost battles it was that I didnt fight because I never thought I was meant for more. then one day I wasn't paying attention and I accepted a simple act of common courtesy which began for me a transformation. bit by bit I opened windows into my soul to let the light in. bit by bit I opened doors into my spirit to let the sacred in. bit by bit I opened gateways into my heart to let the love in. suffering wasn't my calling and sorrow wasn't my destiny. they were both just broken parts of my being that needed to be healed.

I use my gifts to help others which in turn helps me to bring light to the world as I walk on sacred ground.

my spirit is nourished by simple acts of kindness for they are beautiful blessings that inspire me to walk in the light of hope and happiness.

share with the world the truth, beauty, glory, heart, soul, joy, goodness, greatness and miracle of who you are.

you have natural healing abilities which when used properly will elevate your spirit, raise your vibration and improve the quality of your life.

I like to watch my son walk to school in the morning because as he skips down the street I can see that love is leading him and pure joy is following him. that for me is life at its most beautiful.

happiness has always been a struggle for me. I didn't want it, I didn't need it, I didn't trust it, I didn't believe in it and I didn't have it. luckily for me I met a woman who showed me the way and taught me that I was worthy. I still because of mental health issues struggle at times but the difference is now I want it, I need it, I trust it, I believe in it and I have it.

I was sharing my vibration when I was embraced by inspiration which led me to a place of rejuvenation where I began my transformation as my life became a sacred celebration.

the greater our awareness of self the brighter the light of our spirit will shine and the more beautiful and benevolent our world will be.

who are you today. I am a better man than I was yesterday. who are you today.

to love and be loved is my mission in life and it is a mission which creates within me a richness of spirit that is pure positive and profound.

I was satisfying my soul one day when they suggested that I do more to satisfy myself. I said but isn't that what I am doing and they so no I am but a small part of who you are. there are many aspects of your true authentic self longing for attention. so I have made it my goal to satisfy each and every part of who I am.

holidays for many are joyful times but for me they are reminders of yet another tradition from my childhood ruined by the drunkenness and depravity of those who called themselves family.

A World of Beauty where Love and Light Blossom.

I went for a walk beyond the darkness where I discovered my inner child playing with blocks of transformative guidance. I decided to join him and together we built a bridge of change that led us to a world of beauty where love and light blossom.

we help ourselves and others elevate and evolve when we connect with our true authentic sacred self and awaken to our higher purpose.

we take our son to swimming lessons on Sunday morning. the mall is across the street from the Y so we stop there first and my wife and son grab something at Starbucks while I go to the grocery store and grab a breakfast sandwich and a drink. I was having a rough morning yesterday. every single word said or sound made was a trigger. I was struggling greatly and hurting inside. when I went to the grocery store to get my sandwich the woman behind the counter said put your money away. I thought what did I do to piss her off. she then handed me a receipt and on the bottom there were the words surprise delight. I guess this is a policy over the holidays to randomly do this. whatever it was it was a blessing that brightened my day and lifted me out of my doldrums. sometimes we just have to be reminded that kindness exists. today I will walk in the sunshine with a smile on my face.

its the twenty first century and people will literally criticize your pain and suffering. they will decide whether your hurt is worthy of compassion. I have seen countless times people post something personal about their suffering and then have cold hearted imbeciles offer up ignorance as a response. there is an old saying which goes if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all. I would like to alter that slightly. if you can't say something nice then shut the fuck up and piss off.

sweetly inspiring are gifts from the heart which foster healing, serve humanity and fill our world with light and love.

compassionate actions that benefit others are pure positive blessings that cultivate happiness in life.

pure positive actions are blessings that liberate and elevate our existence in ways that are beneficial to one and all.

within the deepest layers of our being there are places of light that radiate pure love whenever we share our true highest self with the world.

from the fabric of my life I have woven a coat of compassion which I share with those who like me have suffered the cold realities of a broken childhood.

I have transcended the tragic and risen above the traumatic which has allowed my soul to heal and my spirit to fly freely.

more meaningful relationships for me have created a happier existence and a more grounded sacred path.

I woke up to the warm embrace of the miraculous because for me that is what life is - a miracle.

it was a day off for the school kids yesterday so me and my nine year old were together all day. we went to Timmys at eight in the morning for a snack and before we walked home we played Tetris on the tablet. when we got home I did laundry, worked on the computer and he played in his playroom. then we went upstairs and he sat at the island while I made him lunch and he talked to me. every sentence began with the words so dad have you ever... after lunch he went across the road into the circle to play in the snow. while he was there his friend Thomas who had recently moved to Toronto came by and they played for two and a half hours. then he came inside and we had dinner. after that mom came home and we told each other stories of our day. for me this rather simplistic slow paced day was something wonderful that I can treasure. I have a beautiful family. when they are happy I am happy. my wife and son not only make me proud they make me a better man.

I was reminded this week of a time in my childhood when I would lay in bed and punch myself in the temple because at nine I believed that doing so would cause a hemorrhage in my brain which would kill me. I am happy today yet there are still times when trauma stops by to say hello and remind me of where I came from and what I witnessed. these days I am stronger than my struggles and smarter than my suffering. these days I can say no thank you and move forward into a better brighter future.

with love and compassion let us help ourselves and others heal, grow and flourish.
